We’re looking for an Investment Associate to support sourcing and evaluating new investment opportunities in the lower market space. This individual will own the deal cycle covering sourcing, evaluating, and recommending acquisition targets.
The ideal individual will have a strong interest in entrepreneurship, private equity, venture capital, and/or business operations paired with excellent written and verbal communication skills, a solid understanding of financial analysis, and the ability to creatively problem solve.
What You’ll Own:
Deal Sourcing:
Conduct market research to identify potential acquisition targets in sectors and geographies of interest.
Make first contact and build relationships with key decision makers at potential targets through any effective channel.
Maintain and report on pipeline activity.
Deal Valuation:
Gather essential valuation metrics to determine if the business is a good fit for our investment criteria.
Perform financial and related analyses to create a company valuation and supporting financial models.
Investment Recommendation:
Compile and present investment briefs and recommendations on a weekly basis.
Collaborate with senior team members to refine analysis and recommendations.
Assist in due diligence and other deal-related processes as necessary.
Reporting & Collateral:
Develop detailed reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
Create internal and external documentation and memos as necessary.

Who We’re Looking For
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a STEM program.
Current or MBA candidates are preferred, but not required.
Experience turning unstructured information into concise and actionable reports.
Strong understanding of financial modeling and valuation techniques.
Stronger ability to be empathetic with others and find win-win solutions.
Self-starter that can work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Comfort with ambiguity and desire to trail-blaze new processes.
Understanding of small business succession dynamics.
Ability to quickly build relationships and trust with business leaders.
